AGENDA ITEM 14b - Letter 2 LEGISLATIVE-CITIZEN COMMISSION ON MINNESOTA RESOURCES November 2, 2018 Elise Larson Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy 1919 University Avenue West, Suite 515 St. Paul, MN 55104 Dear Ms. Larson, The Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) is a 17-member entity responsible, among other things, for making recommendations to the legislature on spending from the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund (ENRTF). Certain expenditures from the ENRTF are subject of a lawsuit for which you provided notice to the State of Minnesota on October 3, 2018. The LCCMR has requested an update on the status of the lawsuit to be presented at its next meeting on November 13, 2018. To assist me with this update, could you please provide me with answers to the following questions: 1. What is the status of the lawsuit? 2. What are the next steps in the process? 3. Are there any specific deadlines for these next steps? If you will kindly reply to these questions by Friday, November 9, we will be sure to get your responses to our members in time for their meeting. Sincerely, Becca Nash Director
