Gary Lamppa, of Vadnais Heights, retired in February of 2013 as the Chief Sales and Marketing officer for the engineering firm of Short-Elliot and Hendrickson. In that capacity he oversaw the sales and marketing strategy for 40 offices located from Indiana to Colorado. The firm is a multi-disciplinary firm with 700 employees. Its corporate headquarters are in Vadnais Heights. Early in his career he served as Chief of Staff to the then Lieutenant Governor Rudy Perpich followed by serving as Deputy Commissioner and later Commissioner for the Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board (IRRRB). He is appointed as a citizen member to a four-year term that expires May 14, 2018. Appointed by the Senate.
