Project Analyst and Communications Specialist

The Project Analyst and Communications Specialist will assist the 17-member Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) with its Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund project proposal and funding process as well as its project oversight responsibilities. Work is primarily conducted through information-gathering, evaluation of project work plans, and various communications and outreach activities.

Position Summary:
Assist the LCCMR in making recommendation for $50 million (current) annually for natural resource projects statewide, using various funding sources, primarily from the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund (ENRTF). Monitor funded projects for progress, compliance and outcomes. Develop and implement communications efforts to keep various audiences informed about the LCCMR process, the ENRTF, and the outcomes and accomplishments of funded projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of environment and natural resources issues, experience with project planning and management, excellent verbal and written communications skills, and experience with traditional and social media strategy and implementation. Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, communications, or a related field and three years of relevant experience.

This is an unclassified, non-partisan, benefits eligible position. The position is part time (75%) with potential to move to full-time. The salary recruiting range for 75% time is $43,600- $51,000; starting salary will be commensurate with skills and experience.
