ALLOCATIONS: October 29-30, 2007
PROCESS UPDATE (updated 10/12/2007)
The LCCMR members will be reviewing all of the proposals. Those selected for further consideration will be invited to a 30 minute session before the commission in October. (See the calendar for scheduled meeting dates.) The sessions will include a 5-10 minute presentation with 20-25 minutes available for question and answers. All project managers will be contacted by LCCMR staff as to their status.
On October
9, LCCMR members finalized their decision about which of the proposals
received
for 2008 funding should be brought in to present before the commission.
This first cut effectively narrowed the number of
proposals still under
consideration from the original 118 received, requesting a total of
$98.5
million, down to 63 proposals, requesting a total of $79.6 million.
This narrowing process is necessary because the $22.8
million in Trust
Fund dollars available for 2008 were cumulatively requested at a rate
of more
than four dollars to every one dollar available.
Proposal presentations will occur through October 22 and
further
narrowing will occur as commission members make allocation decisions on
October
29-30.
