IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT 2003 WORK PROGRAM UPDATES
Please give one of the staff a call to go over the pending update report and answer any questions you may have regarding the instructions. We feel this will help reduce the number of "re-dos" on the reporting.
Your work program simply expands with the update and becomes your new (current) update report. The basic format is that of the original Work Program Report, please include all information from the original report and expand on it. Include Attachment A in your update report.
a) The date at the top left corner must read "Month (day) , 2004 or 2005" (include the actual date you are submitting the report) and the title beneath the date must read, "LCMR Work Program Update Report". Also, change the date of the next status report to the correct date.
b) The legal citation must be cited correctly. The exact language is ML 2003, Chp. 128, Art. 1, Sec. 9, Subd. __(__). Make sure this is filled in with your project subdivision.
c) Page layout is 8 ½ X 11 paper, double sided. We need three copies of the Work Program Update. Or e-mail as an attachment and no need to send three copies. Remember to attach and update all Attachment A budget detail sheet.
d.)The Total Biennial Project Budget balance amount should be the amount appropriated minus the total actual expenditures. Also update the budget in the individual results and the Attachment A.
e) In section III. Progress Summary This is meant to be a snapshot progress overall explaining what progress has been made, and any problems encountered. This is the place for an overall summary of the progress you have made. DATE each successive update. LEAVE IN the previous dated update section and the previous date.
f) In Section IV. Outline of Project Results update the Result Status section. This is the place for discussion detailed on the progress you have made on the specific result.
Include dissemination activities to date. DATE each successive update. LEAVE IN the previous dated update section.
CHANGES TO THE WORK PROGRAM: Amendments to work programs are allowed but must be submitted before the change to activity or budget is implemented. Contact LCMR staff for procedure when you know you need to make a change -- do not wait for the periodic reporting period.

Work Program Checklist
Date of Report: Be sure this is updated each time you submit a report and/ or an amendment request.
Date of Work Program Approval: The work program was approved by the LCMR on "June 26, 2003" or "July 9, 2003". Please insert whichever date is correct into your report or a later date if applicable.
Project Completion Date: Please insert June 30, 2005/2006 (whichever year is correct).
Total Biennial Project Budget: Please update the amount spent each time the report is submitted. Remember this is the amount you have spent not the amount you have requested for reimbursement.
Legal Citation: ML 2003, Chp. 128, Art. 1, Sec. 9, Subd. X (x) example: 5(a) Restoring Minnesota's Fish and Wildlife Habitat Corridors.
III. Progress Summary: Do NOT remove previous "dated" status. Add the current date as the lead into the progress update each time you submit the report. This section is a summary of the progress to date. At the end of the project this will then have a cumulative summary of all the work that was done. Although it is a summary section, specifics should be included: 12 acres purchased, 10 acres restored, 25 land owners approached etc.
IV. Outline of Project Results: Do NOT remove previous "dated" status. Be sure to update the budget section with the amount spent and balance remaining in each of your results. Again it is the amount spent, not the amount reimbursed.
Result Status: (found at the end of each of your results) add the current date as the lead into the progress update each time you submit the report. This section is where you give details to the specific result. List any delays that you have encountered, and again be specific with all of the accomplishments to date.
Attachment A: please update and include with each of your update reports and amendment requests. LEAVE IN the previous dated update section.
