2009 PROPOSAL & FUNDING PROCESS

The LCCMR's 2009 Request for Proposals (RFP) was issued in two phases.  Phase 1 was a request to specific existing, ongoing Trust Fund projects that were identified as potentially benefiting from additional funding.  Phase 2 was a request open to everyone for all proposals consistent with the funding priorities identified for Phase 2.

Additional Proposal Requirements

Phase 1 of the LCCMR's 2009 RFP was issued on June 18, 2008, proposals were due on August 25, 2008, and proposal presentations occurred on September 24-25, 2008.  Phase 1 proposals selected to be recommended to the legislature for funding will be chosen on December 10, 2008, alongside Phase 2 proposals.  For Phase 1, a selection of existing, ongoing Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund projects were chosen as priorities for the LCCMR to consider for additional funding and those specific projects were asked to submit a proposal, if they chose, outlining how additional funds could extend, accelerate, and/or enhance their existing project's efforts.  Proposals from projects and organizations not specifically identifed in the Phase 1 Funding Priorities were not accepted or considered as part of the Phase 1 RFP process.

Phase 2 of the LCCMR's 2009 RFP was issued on July 31, 2008, proposals were due on October 1, 2008, and on November 21, 2008, proposals will be selected to call in for presentations on December 2 & 9, 2008.  Phase 1 proposals selected to be recommended to the legislature for funding will be chosen on December 10, 2008, alongside Phase 1 proposals. For Phase 2, projects were sought in specific areas of land and habitat, water quality, invasive species, and energy that provide multiple ecological and other public benefits.  The Phase 2 RFP was open to everyone for all proposals consistent with the funding priorities identified for Phase 2.
